Lewis Hamilton odds-on to be named Sports Personality of the Year
Lewis Hamilton Odds
The race is on to be named Sports Personality of the Year and F1 star Lewis Hamilton is current favourite to win the coveted accolade, therefore now is a great time to get your hands on all the best Lewis Hamilton odds and free bet offers courtesy of our featured bookmaker partners.
In the SPOTY betting market, Lewis Hamilton’s odds have been slashed to odds-on with many bookmakers going 8/11 following his victory in the Turkish Grand Prix. The 35-year old is currently in pole position in the outright betting market ahead of second favourite Marcus Rashford at 7/4 and Tyson Fury at a general 7/1.
The triumph in the Turkish GP was Hamilton’s seventh world title and 94th career win, the latter overtaking Michael Schumacher’s total of 91 just five weeks ago. Hamilton landed himself the world championship in thoroughly impressive fashion with a thrilling triumph in Istanbul where he came from a grid position of sixth to finish in pole position.
Hamilton is now the most successful F1 driver in history with more individual wins and more world titles than anyone else. Should he win the Sports Personality of the Year Award, then he would be only the fifth person in the history of the coveted award to win on more than one occasion.
Hamilton has certainly enjoyed an exceptional year and it is no surprise whatsoever to see the bookmakers shortening the odds considerably on him winning the Sports Personality of the Year award in 2020. Not only would he be the fifth person to win more than once, he would be just the second Formula One driver to win a second time after Damon Hill.
